Wye Valley & Vale of Usk

The two green valleys, close to the border, are steeped in history. Roman remains, castles - more than any other part of Wales, the soaring beauty of Tintern Abbey, are all set in beautiful countryside. The area has been known for fishing and walking for many years as well as attracting many famous artists. The Usk flows through the rich countryside to the sea at Newport and the Wye finally reaches its destination at picturesque town of Chepstow.
